If you love the combination of chocolate, caramel, and nuts, then this recipe for a Better Than Snickers treat is just what the doctor ordered. I like to make these treats for myself and store them in the freezer. Either make them in bark form or form them into silicone molds for different holidays. This homemade version offers all the delicious flavors of the classic candy bar but with a cleaner twist; they're actually really good for you (if you use dark chocolate and organice peanut or nut butter).

1
Tip
For added indulgence, you can drizzle some melted dark chocolate over the dates before chilling. Let the chocolate set in the fridge.
2
Variation
Try different nut butters like almond, cashew, or hazelnut for a unique flavor.
Notes

1
Pit the Medjool dates by slicing them open and removing the pit inside.

2
Fill each date with about 1 teaspoon of your choice of nut butter.

3
If desired, sprinkle the chopped nuts into the date after adding the nut butter for extra crunch.

4
Arrange the filled dates on a tray lined with parchment paper.

5
Lightly sprinkle a bit of flaky sea salt on top of the dates, balancing the sweetness with a hint of saltiness.

6
Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow the nut butter to firm up.

7
Serve these better-than-snickers bites cold, and enjoy!
